E-ISSN: 2972-4899

The world must shift to clean energy sources and the technological advancements that allow this transition for transportation, warming, agriculture, industrial, and household purposes. This journal welcomes submissions on any element and level of technologies for energy generation and/or usage that reduce the environmental effect of such generation and usage. Energy supply, conversion, transmission, and consumption all have effects on society, the environment, human health, and the economy, all of which are interconnected. Goal of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) is to ensure access to clean energy worldwide while keeping the environment safe. In this regard, this journal focuses on increasing the efficiency of energy sources through technological innovations, instruments, strategies, techniques, regulations, practices, and evaluations.

Macroeconomic Drivers of Electricity Prices in Nigeria
by Mansur Bala , Nasir Ahmad Moyi  and  Umar Muhammad Gummi
ETE  2024 2(3):17; 10.58567/ete02030002 - 15 September 2024
Abstract
Electricity price volatility in developing economies, particularly Nigeria, presents a significant challenge to sustainable development. In this paper, we examine the macroeconomic drivers of electricity prices (ELP) in Nigeria based on annual data spanning 1980-2022 and the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) procedure. Our model estimates the long-run and short-run impacts [...] Read more

ARDL and VECM Investigation of the Environmental Kuznets Curve Hypothesis in Egypt, India, Mexico, Pakistan, Thailand, and Turkey: Financial Development, Globalization, and Government Expenditure Implications for Sustainable Development
by Takashi Fukuda
ETE  2024 2(2):13; 10.58567/ete02020003 - 15 June 2024
Abstract
The present paper empirically examines the validity of the environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) hypothesis, which posits an inverted U-shaped relationship between CO2 emissions and economic growth, in Egypt, India, Mexico, Pakistan, Thailand, and Turkey for the period 1970-2020. The EKC validity is highly debated due to varying results across countries. This study is significant t [...] Read more
