Professor Pierre Failler is a renowned economist and Director of the Centre for Blue Governance at the University of Portsmouth. With over 25 years of teaching and research experience, he specializes in development economics, particularly focusing on environmental or ecological economics and the 'Blue Economy'—the sustainable use of oceans and coastlines for economic growth while preserving ecosystems. He has coordinated numerous international research and development programs across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Pacific, exploring marine and coastal biodiversity, ecosystem services, protected areas, climate change, and more. Professor Failler has authored over 350 publications and serves as a reviewer for numerous scientific journals and as a scientific evaluator for research councils globally. He is currently an Invited Lecturer and Researcher at various universities and institutions, including the University of Antilles and the Caribbean Public Policy Research Centre. With a PhD in Economics from the University of Portsmouth, Professor Failler is dedicated to supervising PhD students and engaging with the media to disseminate his research findings.

Dr. Haitao Wu is an associate professor at international business school, Hainan University, China. His research focuses on macroeconomics, business economics, ecological economics, and energy economics. With an impressive track record, he has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers in renowned SCI/SSCI-indexed journals such as Journal of Business Ethics, Environmental and Resource Economics, The Energy Journal, Ecological Economics, Energy Economics, Kyklos, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Business Strategy and the Environment, International Journal of Finance & Economics. Notably, he was selected as Top 200 Young Economists (IDEAS/RePEc), Top 2% of Scientists (Stanford and Elsevier) and Highly Cited Young Scientist (Scilit). Furthermore, he was honored with the Best Paper Award in Energy Economics in 2022. Khaldoon Albitar is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. He has published more than 60 papers in various journals including Research Policy, International Journal of Finance & Economics, Business Strategy and the Environment, International Journal of Accounting & Information Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, and Journal of Applied Accounting Research.

Jinyu Chen is an associate professor in the School of Business at Central South University. He gained his PhD in Management Science and Engineering at School of Business, Central South University. His current research interests include digital economy, quantitative economics, environmental policy and energy economics. He is the director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. So far, he has published over 60 papers in peer−reviewed journals such as Risk Analysis, International Review of Financial Analysis, International Journal of Finance and Economics.
